The installation also features photographs by Laurie Sagalyn and Allen Frame, two artists who chronicled New York's downtown art scene during the late 70's when Teare worked out of his studio on Franklin Street.
Please join us Saturday October 31st at Harper’s in East Hampton for the opening of L’Ecole Horizontale, a selection of paintings I made in Indiana and NY between 1974-1978.
This is the first time a comprehensive overview of this series will be shown. There is a catalog available featuring 57 color plates with an introduction by David McKee and an essay by Elise Trucks, Assistant to the Executive Director at Guild Hall.
The installation also features by special invitation, photographs by Laurie Sagalyn and Allen Frame, two artists who chronicled the downtown art scene during the late 70’s and beyond.
